Why one workflow
Mortgage enforcement in Ontario is specific work. A notice of sale under the Mortgages Act means something specific; so does a Rule 64 action, a parcel register, a writ of possession. General practice management tools handle billing well and workflow badly, because the enforcement file is too specific to be served by a tool built for everyone.
Edicta is built for that one workflow, with the stages, parties, deadlines and remedies the work actually requires. It does not try to serve every legal practice or every kind of firm. The product can be precise because it is narrow.
How we work
We are not running a sales pipeline. Request a demo and you get a 30-minute walkthrough on a sample matter, run by the founder. If the product does not fit your practice, we say so. Firms that want to go further can start on a small number of files, with counsel and clerk involved, and decide from there.

Edicta was founded in 2026 by Jay Tretiak, who has spent more than twenty years building operational and data systems for Canadian businesses and who runs the demos personally.
